4. For a business transaction, click purchase and select either "Goods”,"Services" or "eBay items".
5. When you want to send money to a family member, friend or other person you know, select the personal tab. All personal transactions are free regardless of what type of account you have.
6. After entering the email address and the amount, the currency in which money is to be sent has to be chosen. Next is the type of transfer. For example it could be for payment or it could be just a gift. The choices are "Gift", "Living Expense", "Payment Owed", "Cash Advance" or "Other". For choosing any of these a credit card cannot be used. In case you wish to use a credit card, the purchase tab has to be chosen.
7. After the selections are completed, click the orange "Continue" button on the bottom of the page.
8. The next page is regarding payment information. It will show the email address and amount you entered on the previous page. Halfway down the page on the left side you will see "Payment Method". The payment has to be made from the correct account. If not, edit it.
9. In case you used the "purchase" tab on the previous page, you'll see your address below your payment information. If it is incorrect, it has to be changed immediately. This is because the many merchants will send to that address regardless of what notes you've sent them about gift addresses.
10. After completing everything correctly, just click on the orange "Send money" button at the bottom of the page. That’s it! After this the recipient will receive an email regarding the details of the transaction and how to receive their money.
